What would you expect to see at The Manilow Store at the Las Vegas Hilton? Music CDs, souvenir t-shirts, books about the famed singer/songwriter, and other memorabilia that fans would enjoy. What would you not expect to see? Here are five items that surprised me.1. Barry Manilow Margarita Mix – I know Tony always tended bar at the Copacabana, but this still seems like a stretch.
2. A Dog Sweater that reads "Trust Me, My Owner is a Manilow Fan." I guess there's nothing wrong with it, until your pooch runs into a dog that prefers Zeppelin.
3. The Barry Manilow Bobble-Head Doll. Sure, that's a pretty common souvenir choice, but strangely this one bears a closer resemblance to Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits – though another customer thought the dolls looked just like Roger Daltrey.
4. Barry Manilow Fragrance – Sure, there are those who would love to meet Barry or sing like Barry, or even write the songs that make the whole world sing like Barry, but who knew there was a contingent of fanilows who actually want to smell like Mr. Mandy?
5. The CD "Cleansing", by Joey Melotti. Who?

1. Joey Melotti is a great musician - who has worked as Barry's synth player/backing singer on many many occasions. Just thought you's like to know. Love the article...must get back to the M Shop on my return to Vegas to buy some of the new merchandise!!!
p.s. Could David Hofstede be an "old" pen pal of mine in the days before the net??? Hi David!
