Pure Management Group has been busy. In addition to maintaining their celebrity playgounds at PURE and Social House, not to mention other top spots like Tangerine and Coyote Ugly to name a couple more of their venues, they have simultaneously been opening a South Beach location of PURE in Miami and this week, are celebrating the opening of their new upscale bowling alley, nightclub, eatery aptly named Lucky Strike Lanes at the Rio with 'Laguna Beach' star Kristin Cavallari and LUXE LIFE has your first look photographs.
"Lucky Strike Lanes is a fun and unique project that we are excited about opening," said Robert Frey, Managing Partner of Pure Management Group. "We will welcome everyone in for food and fun during the day, and at night it will be a fusion of nightlife and sport to create a one-of-a-kind experience."
If Pure's pedigree is any indication, celebriteis will be adding their name to the waiting list for a lane and at only 10 lanes, you can bet this will be one of the most exclusive bowling experiences in Vegas without having to spend thousands of dollars for the more private two-lane King Pin Suite at the Palms or the one lane suite at the Hard Rock.
In pure Pure style, rather than just build a bowling alley, the group has infused enough nightlife and dining choices into the place to ensure it will appeal to bowlers and non-bowlers alike and even has a retro lounge feeling with the space-age era lamps and stools.
The super-sized bowling photographs and whimsical art on the walls all add to the drama with over-sized couches and truly huge neon-lit, script-lettered Las Vegas sign that will radiate light over the black-lit lanes. They've thought of everything with five projection screens and the bowling scoring computer sytem will feature picture-in-picture so you can track you bowling scores and March Madness basketball games simultaenously.
Any bowling alley would not be complete without a jukebox and so Lucky Strike will feature a digital jukebox stocked with rock 'n' roll hits and a DJ (booth shot above) will play on the weekends to cotnrol the party atmosphere.
BUBA ROLLS INTO LUCKY STRIKES
Vegas heavyweight Kingpin comic Jeff Beacher already has an event lined up for the new bowling party palace when his Beacher's Unprofessional Bowling Association (BUBA) takes over Lucky Strike on March 19. Teams of bowlers will compete for a trip of four to the Atlantis resort in teh Bahamas. Beacher assuers that the teams will be from all walks of life and not just the zany performers from his Madhouse shows which relaunch on March 31. With Grey Goose is the offical sponosr of BUBA, what more could you ask for: bowling, Beacher, Bahamas, babes and blissful beverages?
SUPERSTAR HELPING HANDS
Vegas superstars Barry Manilow and Toni Braxton are using their celebrity for good deeds. Toni Braxton has been named celebrity spokesperson for Autism Speaks, an autism advocay group. The appointment is very near to Toni as one of her children was recently diagnosed with autism. She will perform a concert for the group at the Lincoln Center in New York City which will also feature Bill Cosby.
Barry's Manilow Fund for Health and Hope will be a presenting sponsor of the 2007 AIDS Walk Las Vegas, an annual fundraiser for AFAN (Aid for AIDS of Nevada). The Walk will be held in on tax day, Sunday, April 15. All the money raised will go directly to educational outreach, housing assistance, transportation, the Lisa B. Grocery Center, and other AFAN services and programs.
SHOWEST CALENDAR
At ShoWest today, Dane Cook will be recognized as the "Break Out Performer of the Year.".Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony should be on hand to provide the first screening of 'El Cantante' their filmography of Puerto Rican salsa singer, Hector Lavoe (played by Marc) who skyrocketed to international fame only to see it all crumble in drugs and his personal destruction.
STRIP SCRIBBLES
LUXE LIFE has learned that opening dates will be set in the next few days for the April's opening of two new celebrity chef restaurants at The Venetian. Food Network TV star chef Mario Batali will open his new, Italian double-decker two-floor restaurant and NYC society chef extrodinaire, David Burke, will open his new "modern American cuisine" 8,000 square-foot restaurant simply named, David Burke. Check out his amazing menu featuring such items as the crisp and angry lobster cocktail , the pretzel crusted crab cakes, the California duck breast and seared prawns but leave room for the divinely decadent dessert known as the cheesecake lollipop tree. Mario and David now join the 20 star restaurants in the 80-strong retail stores of the Grand Canal Shops.
