Exactly two weeks after her now-notorious New Years Eve meltdown, pop queen Britney Spears is back in town - and the always-watched saga of her Vegas antics begins all over again. But this time she's certainly doing it in high-style.
She checked herself in this afternoon to Playboy king Hugh Hefner's own $40,000 a night, 10,000 sq. ft. duplex that comes complete with its own elevator and an infinity pool - although with current freak temperatures down at the freezing mark, she wont be using that. His luxurious penthouse pad comes complete with sauna and fitness gym just below the new Playboy Club in the Fantasy Tower of the Palms resort hotel.
Last time Britney stayed at the Palms was when she begged owner George Maloof to introduce her to party-heiress Paris Hilton over a dinner at TAO in The Venetian. That resulted in an infamous number of late-night LA club partying where she was photographed three consecutive nights with the now famous worldwide " No Panties" pictures. Paris and Britney eventually split up as new best friends over the scandalous photo-coverage.
Britney was here 14 days ago for New Years when she dined at Social House in the TI before doing the midnight champagne countdown at PURE nightclub in Caesars Palace. As Luxe Life exclusively reported then - click here - she had to be covered up and assisted from the nightclub 50-minutes into the New Year after collapsing to the floor. Her manager, Larry Rudolph, insisted she'd fallen asleep from fatigue but others blamed the collapse on the mix of sake and champagne and rum-pineapple drinks she'd consumed after coming up from Phoenix on a party bus.
Britney's Vegas visit comes on the heels of gossip reports that she's dating a new boyfriend, Kevin Federline look-a-like model/actor Isaac Cohen. Strangely enough, they were seen at the gay Hollywood club, Tigerbeat on Thursday and on Friday at another Hollywood gay club, The Abbey. Now our favorite gossip gangster Perez Hilton is reporting that Britney actually arrived last night in Vegas and immediately qwent to a third consecutive gay club, the 81/2 behind the Strip's east-side area.
No word yet as to whether new boyfriend Isaac is in tow for this trip or whether Britney has brought her nannies and 2 young babies - but having toured Hef's quarters atop the Palms before he used it the first time, I can reveal it can comfortably house many guests in its three extra bedrooms in addition to the revolving circular bed and 10-person giant-jacuzzi bathtub in the master bedroom.
Luxe Life has learned that tonight she is expected to party back at PURE where she fled on New Year's Eve! Recreating the evening, she has reservations at Social House as well and just called a short time ago to reserve a PURE VIP booth for her group! Braving freezing temperatures for a night on the town, Britney intends to make up to the PURE's owners for her New Year's Eve escapade.
Luxe Life will continue to monitor Britney's Vegas visit with an overnight party report here first thing in the morning and if she's planning to work on her new album in the Palms recording studio later this week.
