It was apparent to anyone who saw Verne Troyer in the first episode of 'Surreal Life' season four, that the actor has some demons. In that now-famous episode, "Mini Me," gets drunk, then urinates on the floor. It made for great, if not tragic TV, but when the laughter stopped, the viewer was left thinking, "what's wrong with him?"What was/is wrong with Troyer, who is currently staring in 'Surreal Life Fame Games,' is alcohol abuse. That abuse peaked in 2002, when he nearly died of alcohol poisoning after breaking up with his wife of two months, Genevieve Gallen. However, Troyer recently checked himself into rehab once again for alcohol abuse. According to reports, the 2'8" actor is now out of rehab, but continuing with outpatient therapy.

1. I met Verne in his hometown while I work in Michigan. I covered the unveiling of a sign in his honor. The time I spent with Verne was very enjoyable. Verne was a naive midwestern boy who has gotten caught up the glitz of Hollywood. His parents are very down to earth and I'm sure Verne still is too. At least from my experience with him he's just like all of us...we all have issues at times. He is funny and very giving. But Hollywood can do strange things to an individual. Go Verne...I'm in your corner...keep fighting.
