Hairstylist to the Stars Michael Boychuck Leaves The Venetian for Caesars Palace

Michael Boychuck and Paris HiltonShock waves in the star-studded Vegas hair salon business today as VIP colorist Michael Boychuck departs the Canyon Ranch Spa at The Venetian for a brand new QUA Salon at Caesars Palace.

Luxe Life has learned that the bonanza multi-year contract was signed at 12 noon today and that Caesars President Gary Selesner will make the official announcement tonight during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 7PM grand opening of the resorts' new RAO's restaurant.

Michael is the city's top colorist and his celebrity client list is staggering: Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Kirsten Dunst, Willa Ford and Sophia Rossi, to name just a few. He also runs his hands through the heads of just about every VIP and top hotel moguls' wives in Glitter Gulch. He will retain his ownership with George Maloof in the AMP Salon at the Palms and his business partnership with Nicky Hilton in their planned salons for her roll out of the Nicky chain of boutique hotels, starting with the first one in Miami.

"I've had a fabulous six years at Canyon Ranch," said Michael. "But I am excited with this new opportunity. Within 2-weeks I'll be working from the existing salon at Caesars but mid-summer we will open the brand new state of the art super-luxurious QUA spa salon that's beyond anything ever seen before in the world of hair beauty. It will take Vegas right to the very top of the entire industry."

Michael is currently developing a new line of hair-care products which will be featured on a home-shopping network. He's got the backing of his many celebrity clients who swear he's their secret weapon in the hair glamour business. He began his career in Jacksonville, Florida and worked with Elizabeth Taylor's famed hairdresser, Jose Eber in Beverly Hills before settling in Vegas seven years ago when he worked for Steve and Elaine Wynn when they opened the Bellagio.

The Caesars contract acquisition of Michael will probably start a merry-go-round of similar salon and spa changes at various Strip hotels.

"Hairstylists have become celebrities in their own right, just like famous chefs," said one lawyer familiar with the negotiations. "You know how important star chefs and their restaurants are to Strip hotels. Hair salons are the next war to be waged, and this is the first salvo."
