While 150,000 straight-laced conventioneers stalk the halls of the Consumer Electronics Show simultaneously another trade group exhibits its latest hi-fly products. But this is the Adult Entertainment Expo where X-rated DVD's play on the latest of technologies. This former "plain manila envelope" affair is now a full-blown mainstream event that starts today and runs through Saturday at the Sands Expo center in the Venetian. The days are all the same suit and tie business as any other convention but here it's with X-rated video companies parading porn stars to sell more tapes and barely-clad lascivious lassies demonstrating adult toys and decadent devices plus leather and lace manufacturers showcasing outfits far too risque to wear outside of the bedroom. But if it's all business by day then it's definitely all pleasure by night and the parties of porn with their erotic edgy excesses move into top-gear! Here's the racy randy ribald rundown:

Vegas' own porn-mogul Jenna Jameson hosts the official AVN opening party at the Palms in both the Playboy Club and the MOON nightclub. I'm reliably told that she'll keep a tight leash on beaufriend, Ultimate Fighting Tito Ortiz, when she introduces the girls of Club Jenna. Incidentally, I'm reliably told they've now bought a new Vegas home to move in together and that, when she throws his upcoming birthday party in two weeks at PURE, she's specifically requested the Pussycat Dolls don't do their traditional "Happy Birthday" sing-along, sparkling birthday cake routine, because he used to date one of the dancers!!!

FRIDAY, JAN. 12
The official 2007 AVN Awards pre-party, which will be broadcast live on KLUC 98.5, will attract the hottest stars of Adult Video including AVN Performer of the Year nominees Jasmine Byrne, Marie Luv and Flower Tucci, AVN Hall of Famer Sean Michaels, AVN Best New Starlet nominees Sasha Grey and Ava Rose, Playboy Radio's Alana Evans, plus other princesses of pulchritude too many to name individually. Club-goers are encouraged to dress sexy, as rumjungle will host a "Ladies Sexy Body" contest for cash and prizes featuring celebrity judges and directors.
Then it's truly a triple-pronged porn attack as three nightclubs battle it out for winner-take-all status and acclaim. The provocative poses of the Penthouse models will cause furious flashbulb frenzy at PURE in Caesars Palace while the hot-honeys of Hustler will heat up the sizzle with their Hustler lingerie fashion show at TAO.
Two-time AVN nominee and AVN show-host Jessica Drake will host the Strip Las Vegas magazine 1-year-anniversary at JET in the Mirage with assistance from galpal Faith Leon and all the magazine's hot centerfolds and cover girls. Stud-man Ron Jeremy and Playboy's Andrea Lowell who are in our current 'Surreal Life Fame Games' series on VH1, which I host, will also attend. Down at Olympic Garden Joanna Angels premieres her "Porny Monster" movie with a squad of sexy punk-rock strippers and go-go dancers from the film.
SATURDAY, JAN. 13
After the official AVN Awards show with its 100 mind-numbing categories of best multiple sex-scenes -- who knew there were that many camera angles -- Wicked Pictures presents the post-party at PURE.

Rocker Axl Rose, who's stayed on to hang in Vegas was less rowdy than normal when heentertained family and friends at FIX in The Bellagio feasting on wings, Kobe sliders and adult Mac 'n' Cheese. Dining at the next-door table was baseball great Alex Rodriguez with friends and they ordered the same but added on Sea Bass and Salmon! ... The Wayans brothers, Marlon and Shawn, enjoyed dinner with six friends at Sushi Roku in the Forum Shops making them somewhat regulars as Marlon rang in New Year's Eve at Sushi Roku. Then Shawn hit JET with five friends, and was immediately swarmed by a legion of lovely ladies. ... Buxom bombshells were out in force, at Light in the Bellagio: TV show host, model, and actress Michele Merkin and model Carmella DeCesare, both 2007 Maxim Calendar Girls They hosted the calendar party and brought along friend Lisa Snowdon who was the cover model for the first issue of Maxim and is the host of "Britain's Next Top Model."
HIGH-PRICED DRINKS
Talk about Lifestyles of the Wealthy and Well-Known. If you're drinking at the Tryst in the Wynn (above) check out the menage a trios cocktail. The mix of Cristal Rose champagne with cognac and a 150-year-old Grand Marnier is garnished with edible gold sprinkles and complimented by a 9-point diamond. It's a mere $3000!!! ... Saturday Night Live comic Kenan Thompson joined boxing champ Floyd Mayweather at the OPM nightclub in the Forum Shops of Caesars, and they wound up spraying $900 bottles of Cristal champagne into the crowd of adoring fans. ... My favorite champagne is well-stocked at OPM because Diddy buys it like water and ran up a $9,000 tab of the stuff there. ... Floyd is beginning to get a name for his late-night antics around town having tossed $10,000 worth of $100 bills from the OMP balcony into the crowd, even though he only drinks water on his night crawls he'd better slow down with that title fight coming up in March.
NIGHTCRAWL DEBUT
Stunning movie-actress Kate Bosworth made her debut in Vegas last night with a night of treats for new British model boyfriend, James Russo. First they hit the 7pm early show of the Cirque du Soleil Beatles musical 'LOVE' picking up two beers from the bar as they tapped their feet and sang along to the music during the show. Said Kate: "It's one of the most beautiful sentimental shows I've ever seen." After the show they checked out the new Beatles Revolution Ultralounge (below) and got a first-hand look at the unique design and technology that we wrote about here in Luxe Life two-weeks-ago. She drew designs on the inter-active tables to add her own artistic renderings to the central graffiti wall. She even asked the VIP hosts there: "How can I get one of these for my place in LA?" Then the tied-together twosome wound up for the first time in town dining at TAO. Kate told the staff she had never been to TAO before and was there to check it out for herself from all the stories she'd read of celebrities making it a #1 hangout. She asked the waiters for suggestions rather than picking her own menu selections, and settled on Chef Josh Thompson's miso soup, crispy tuna, chicken satay, edamame, plus two more Corona beers!
Romance is obviously afoot for the gorgeous glamour-girl because she "smooched" with her Brit-boy during dinner. It was a night that was all her treat. When the meal was served she only ate the soup and the boyfriend ate everything else! She even paid for the $80 meal leaving a $25 tip! The 5'5" porcelain-faced blonde played Lois Lane in the recent 'Superman Returns' movie and will star again in the planned 2009 sequel. The 24-year-old stunner just wrapped filming "Girl in the Park" with Sigourney Weaver. Other dinner guests noted "she looked extremely thin but was very beautiful wearing a loose all-black non form-fitting dress." Kate, in real life a champion equestrian began her movie career with the acclaimed 'Horse Whisperer' in 1998, said she had a great time visiting the Asian-themed eatery and entertainment complex, and promised to be back!
STRIP SCRIBBLES
No secret now that Celine Dion will wrap her multi-year-run at Caesars Palace come December 15, but she's going to leave behind a permanent souvenir of those extraordinary concerts. Next week she's all set to start 2-weeks of filming for her DVD, and then grab a springtime break until February 28. ... Casting and test photo shoots are about to get underway between the Playboy Club beauties at the Palms so Hugh Hefner can decide which of the cocktail servers, table dealers and others in the bunny costume will wind up nude in the pages of his magazine.
