Why Did Jordan Knight Really Leave 'Surreal Life Fame Games?'

Click here for Fame Games coverageThere is already discussion about Jordan Knight's departure from Surreal Life Fame Games, namely, if the reason he gave for leaving was legitimate.

In the show's premiere last night on VH1, former New Kids on the Block singer Knight announced to the Fame Games cast that there was a death in the family and he had to leave the show. But the strange part of it all was the phone call between Knight and his wife Evie.

As realityblurred.com points out, the first part of the conversation, in which she says: "I'm so sorry, Jordan. I've got some terrible news. Grandma died," the audio was obviously recorded afterward, and didn't even sound like the same person who, moments later, said, "I love you too." Maybe it's nitpicking, but in March, when the show was filming, a source told New York Daily News' reporter Ben Widdicombe that Jordan left because he started to "lose it" and "wanted off the show."

So, I went to my own source, and Fame Games host Robin Leach for the scoop on what really went down.

"It all happened within just a few hours of Jordan arriving at the house, so it wasn't because 'he started to lose it,' and 'wanted off the show,'" says Robin. "Jordan was far too emotionally shaken up with the news of her death to continue. And it was impossible for the continuous filming to be halted for him to return and resume two weeks later."

As for the odd-sounding phone conversation, Robin says, "The audio of the call was enhanced in post production. Don't be suspicious. It was that simple."
