She'll host the ceremony in the club's main VIP section and then zip up onto the club's patio roof to watch the spectacular 12-hotel Strip fireworks show. But the giant payday is causing groans at rival nightclubs because it has set off a price war with her Hollywood party-posse pack. "Paris is certainly not going to accept less," one of her friends told me. And supposedly Lindsay Lohan is actually auctioning her official 21st birthday bash with a $250,000 starting price! Word is that Nicole Richie will probably host the countdown at PURE's sister club Tangerine, while her dad Lionel is across the Street at The Venetian.

Self-proclaimed bad boy Kid Rock will also pick up another whopping paycheck for a similar countdown at JET in the Mirage where table minimums have been set at $2,400, which permits 8 guests who then have to buy at least 2 bottles of champagne. And, as you read earlier, directly across the Strip his ex-Pamela Anderson is expected to host the TAO midnight countdown at The Venetian. At JET's parent club Light, Cirque du Soleil performers from the five current Strip shows will dance and host its midnight celebration! Luxe Life is also awaiting, any moment now, the official final word for star guests at Rain in the Palms. However, Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco and Miss May '06 Alison Waite will be live at the Playboy Club in the Palms and introduce Hugh Hefner via satellite link from the LA Mansion with his trio of Girls Next Door to do the countdown from there! Former Vegas resident and Sinatra sound-alike Brian Evans, just featured in both People and Rolling Stone, will play 3-sets with his quartet at Prime in the Bellagio. And my pals, superstar Lionel Ritchie will ring in 2007 with his legendary performance in a special 10PM concert at The Venetian which will end on the stroke of midnight as he does the champagne countdown and funnyman David Brenner will cause laughs-a lot from Dec 29 thru Dec 31st at the Orleans. The whole rock-out-wild New Years weekend kicks off with Van Morrison at Mandalay Bay on Dec 30!
