contrast to the non-story of Kevin Federline's last-stand at TAO. However, in all fairness, let's point out that the bad-boy rapper, no longer wearing his Britney Spears wedding ring, did apologize to my photographer friend JillAnn Spaulding (as seen below). On his last visit to TAO a month ago, K-Fed's bodyguard smashed her camera into her face, despite the fact she'd been invited to photograph him on the official red-carpet!
JillAnn told me: "This time I was shooting photos of him at the same place as the incident and he kept giving me eye contact. At the end of the shoot he asked 'Is everybody done? I'd like to get back to my dinner.' I put my hand up and said 'I'm the girl your bodyguard hit.' He leaned in, reached out his hand softly, grabbed my hand, and said, 'I'm so sorry about that.' He kissed me on the cheek, said thanks and that was that!"
Meanwhile, at the Luxor, Liza was in rare form. Felix Rappaport, the resort's president told Luxe Life: "What a great event! Liza was born into the entertainment industry. She's seen it all, done it all, and performed with all the greats like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. She's won Tony, Emmy, and Academy Awards. And yet, last night, we were all part of history, helping the extremely gracious, unbelievably generous, hard-working, and uniquely talented Liza resurrect a Las Vegas tradition that had all but been forgotten."The tradition was a free show (she was onstage for at least 2 1/2 hours) for her fellow performers, at a time when they weren't working themselves and could actually see her perform live. "She must have received 25 Standing ovations throughout the performance," Rappaport said. "She deserved every one of them. We are already working hard to bring Liza back in March, 2007."
What a performer! What a night! Broadway veterans Terri White and Sam Harris each came out of the audience and sang a number as part of the show last night. The audience realized that they were part of history. It was an absolute "love fest." Liza worked herself to the point when any other performer would have been at the brink of exhaustion, but after the show, when we went back stage to meet and congratulate her, she looks like she could have done another show! They don't "make 'em" like her anymore! Also, despite her show ending at 3:30AM, Liza fulfilled one other promise and last night finally got to see the Cirque Beatles 'LOVE' at the Mirage and went backstage afterwards to meet cast and crew.
So, while Liza belted out songs, new and old, to thunderous applause and standing ovations to become the new Queen of the Strip, Fed-Ex didn't even bother to perform. Expressionless, he just mouthed the words to his record and didn't even change his look when the DJ played Britney's 'Toxic.' It was supposed to be a Thanksgiving weekend celebration of his fast-fading new CD 'Playing with Fire,' but it was more like a wake, including jeers and some cheers when he was ...
introduced. He turned up 1-hour later than planned, at 11PM, with 10 friends, including his brother, for dinner favorites of Chicken Satay, Chilean Sea Bass, and Chicken Pad Thai. After dinner, the group hit the TAO dance floor where they danced to his songs 'Lose Control' and 'Privilege.' Supermodel Joanna Krupa gave him a 1AM hug -- condolences? -- but he continued dancing and drinking Grey Goose and Patron until leaving at 3AM for The Venetian casino. Maybe he'd decided not to perform at TAO because the previous night at Hollywood's House of Blues he called himself, "America's most hated man," yelling obscenities about the media, the paparazzi and the Fed-haters to a booing crowd who threw their drinks on the stage. One of his stage musicians actually asked '"Why do they hate you K-Fed?" He replied, "I dunno, maybe because I took their queen." In his song 'Lose Control' he added the line "I married an ex-superstar" which started another round of boos in front of the only names who turned out: porn-star Ron Jeremy, comic Pauly Shore and Kimberly Stewart. One report stated only 70 tickets were sold for the show, compared to only 35 that were sold at the previous night's cancelled House of Blues show in Anaheim. Perhaps those two nights added up to his non-performance at TAO marking the 14.59-ticking clock of his 15 minutes of fame? In fact, at the Dixie Chicks MGM concert next night there was wild applause when lead singer Natalie Maines dedicated their new song 'White Trash Wedding' to him!
The next night, K-Fed returned to TAO and again kept a low profile but did tell one reveler that "I've just got to get through all this drama."

Britney stayed over at Paris' Hollywood Hills home and next night Paris stayed over at Britney's Malibu manse.
